grow! Lincoln Park Community Garden
Overview
grow! Lincoln Park Community Garden (grow! LPCG), a program of the Lincoln Park Conservancy, is a 10,000 square foot sustainable, organic garden situated on the city-owned campus of Lincoln Park. grow! LPCG was created in 2011, with authorization from the New Rochelle City Council and support from Department of Parks & Recreation, as a lasting commemoration of the 50-year anniversary of the Lincoln Elementary School Desegregation Case of 1961.
grow! LPCG is open from April to November from 8 am to Dusk. The 60-raised bed garden leases plots, at a nominal fee to families, churches, community organizations and businesses. grow! LPCG also has four 50 sq. ft. plots specifically set aside to grow and distribute free crops to the community.
