Several members of the New Rochelle PBA/Police Department participated in the 2016 New York State Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run on Thursday, May 5.

NRPD ended up running more than 8 miles from Mount Vernon to Scarsdale. The LE Torch Run route did not come through New Rochelle, but NRPD held the torch from Mt. Vernon to Eastchester (a nearly two-mile run).

The following officers participated: P.O. Nicole DeCarlo, P.O. Juan Torres, P.O. Daniel Maldonado, P. O. Christopher Delgrosso, P.O. Timothy Childs, Det. Sean Kane and Det. Liliana Sanchez, PO Emmanuel Gonzalez , P.O. Francis Gray. P.O. Adalberto Aguilar, also assisted in the motorcycle escort.
