[ARCHIVED] Saving Money on Your Electric Bill

Aac.jpg

You may have recently received a letter from Sustainable Westchester regarding your electricity supplier. This letter is not a scam.

In fact, it contains good news about your electricity service. New Rochelle has joined 19 other municipalities in Westchester to save money on your utility bill, while also providing clean, renewable energy.

If Con Edison is your electricity supplier today, then you’ll be automatically enrolled in the program, and no further action is necessary.

But if for any reason you don’t want to participate, then it’s easy to opt out by visiting www.westchesterpower.org or by calling 1-888-437-1722.

If you currently have an energy service agreement with a company other than Con Edison, then you will not be automatically changed over, so to participate, you’ll have to opt in.

In all cases, Con Edison will continue to deliver your power and maintain lines, just as today, and the billing process will remain the same, too.
