The race begins with a gun shot at 9:00am on Sunday October 14th, at the Thomas Pain Cottage in New Rochelle. This race is run on the Colonial Greenway, a wooded trail through New Rochelle, Mamaroneck, Eastchester and Scarsdale. Only a very small portion of the race is on pavement. Approximately 12 of the 13.1 miles are run on dirt (and rocks, roots, and other foresty things).
