New Rochelle youth are eager to work, and your local business can help! In preparation for another summer of record-breaking employment, the New Rochelle Youth Bureau is seeking assistance from local businesses to host summer workers. Becoming a worksite partner will help our young people gain valuable work experience and develop essential skills, and can help you meet your staffing needs-all at no additional cost!
“Our summer youth program has grown tremendously, and we are eager to match our young workers with local opportunities in diverse industries, including retail, service, food and beverage, office, manufacturing, healthcare, and more,” said Youth Bureau Executive Director Kelly Johnson. “This partnership is a win-win for all: our young people gain exposure to different careers, while businesses receive additional support and the chance to inspire the workforce of tomorrow.”
The Summer Youth Employment Program is funded by the City of New Rochelle with the support of grants and local sponsors. Summer workers are employed by the City and deployed to various sites for six weeks in July and August. For more information on becoming a worksite partner, please fill out the Work Project Form. We hope you participate in this youth initiative! The application deadline to be a worksite partner is Friday, March 22, 2024. For more information, contact the Youth Bureau at 654-2045.
