The City of New Rochelle is recruiting qualified youth residents (currently in 9th – 10th grades) and adult residents to serve on the Board of Commissioners of the New Rochelle Youth Bureau. For over 60 years, the New Rochelle Youth Bureau has served the needs and well-being of the City’s young people and their families through a wide range of initiatives, programs, and services. Comprised of 21 members, the Board of Commissioners oversees the direction of this vital Bureau.
“Our Board of Commissioners serves as a community model whereby adults and youth lend their voices to the collective advocacy for services and programs that improve the quality of life for our youth residents” said Youth Bureau Executive Director Kelly Johnson.
“The New Rochelle Youth Bureau has supported and empowered our youth for decades, guided by the dedicated Board of Commissioners. Joining the Board is an opportunity for community members to contribute their skills, innovation and perspective to the development of our younger residents and shaping of our City’s future.”
