Applications are now being accepted for the Firefighter exam to be held on Saturday, December 2. Applications will be accepted until Friday, October 27 at 4PM (SHARP!).
Candidates must be legal residents of Westchester County for at least three continuous months immediately preceding the date of the written examination; and must be no less than 17½ years of age at the time of the written test. View the job posting.
Applications are available at the Civil Service Office, New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Avenue during regular office hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and the following locations:
- YMCA- Weyman Avenue
- WestCop, 95 Lincoln Avenue
- Martin Luther King Center- 95 Lincoln Avenue
- Municipal Housing Authority- 50 Sickles Avenue
- New Rochelle Public Library- 1 Library Plaza
- Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle- A.E. Mascaro Unit (7th Street)
Completed applications must be submitted in person at the Civil Service Office at City Hall along with proper photo ID and documentation. The Civil Service Office in City Hall will remain open until 8:00pm on two Tuesdays, October 10 and 17, 2023 to receive applications, as well as on Thursday, October 26 at the Westcop Job Fair at the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, from 11AM to 3PM.
