The City of New Rochelle, in collaboration with local community organizations, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Summer Sendoff event, a grand celebration to bid farewell to the sun-soaked season and welcome the new school year. Mark your calendars for August 26th as we gather at Ruby Dee Park at Library Green @ 1pm to revel in an unforgettable day of festivities. The highlight of the event will be the distribution of free backpacks to students, ensuring they start the upcoming school year with the tools they need to succeed.

The event is presented by the City of New Rochelle Departments of Parks and Recreation and Development, New Rochelle Youth Bureau, New Rochelle Corporation for Local Development, Kingdom Community Consultants, Generations Church, HOPE, YMCA, City School District of New Rochelle, United Community Center, Big Viv’s Inc., and the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle.
