On May 16th, 2023 at about 7:55am, New Rochelle Police responded to a call of a menacing with a handgun on the 100 block of Winthrop Avenue. The victim reported that he was involved in a dispute with another driver after nearly being cut off while driving. The suspect exited his vehicle and approached the victim and is alleged to have pointed a handgun at him during the dispute, before fleeing in his vehicle. The victim did not know the suspect and only described him as a dark-skinned male.
New Rochelle Detectives were able to develop leads, and at about 5:30pm, make an arrest of the suspect in The Bronx, NY. The suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun at the time of the arrest. The suspect complied with the arrest and was taken to New Rochelle Police Headquarters without incident.
