Building on the tremendous success of its Summer Youth Employment program, the New Rochelle Youth Bureau today announced a new Fall Youth Employment Program. The program will operate for six weeks during November and December and is open to youth and young adults ages 14-24.
The program will provide job readiness skills training and actual work experience. Positions for youth 14-16 years old as well as weekly hours for all are contingent upon each worksite.
Additionally, a Job Service Program is now available for students who need assistance with creating resumes and filling out job applications for employment outside of the Youth Bureau. To accommodate schedules, the Youth Bureau Office will offer expanded hours for the Job Service Program by appointment only on Thursdays until 6PM.
Applications for the Fall youth Employment Program are available 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday in the Youth Bureau office, 515 North Avenue, New Rochelle and online at www.newrochelleny.com/youth. The application deadline is Monday, October 31st, 2022. For more information, contact the Youth Bureau at 654-2045.
The Youth Bureau is currently seeking worksite partners to host interns, as well as program sponsorships. For more information on the Board of Commissioners’ Financial Sponsors Campaign for Youth Employment, please contact our office.
