This is the City of New Rochelle with an invitation to our annual Fourth of July fireworks at the waterfront and other upcoming summer events.
The fireworks by Grucci begin at 9:00pm on Monday, July 4th, rain or shine, with great viewing from Hudson and Five Islands Parks. Just before and after the fireworks, nearby streets will be closed to cars so that pedestrians can walk safely, and parking will also be limited, so please plan ahead.
Our summer celebration continues throughout the month. Enjoy the FREE Summer Sound Concert Series at the Hudson Park Bandshell on Wednesdays, preceded by Yoga in the Park; and on Fridays downtown at the new New Ro Parc at 455 Main Street. Both concert venues feature local food trucks. For swimmers, Hudson Park Beach is now open, and this weekend, Lincoln Pool will open for the season. Our Farmers Market continues on Fridays at the Thomas Paine Cottage, while upcoming waterfront events include the Sister City Jazz Festival July 15th and 16th, and the Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday July 30th. Ongoing opportunities include Discovery programs in archery, kayaking and paddleboarding in partnership with LL Bean, Learn to Sail through the Port Sailing School, and, for those who like racquet sports, our newly-upgraded Pinebrook Courts are open for tennis and pickleball.
Finally, in the downtown, our BID and Library have teamed up for a weekly International Dance and Music Festival and a bi-weekly new Picnic Party in the Park in July and August.
