On January 6th, 2022, New Rochelle Detectives were notified that a handgun was found in a vehicle that was being impounded for excessive outstanding parking violations. Detectives developed leads and further investigation revealed that, in addition to the illegal handgun, multiple forged documents were also in the vehicle and a suspect was identified.
On January 19th, 2022, New Rochelle Detectives arrested one Brandon Gracey, 25 years of age, of New Rochelle, who was charged with the following:
CHARGES:
- Penal Law 265.03 – Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree - C Felony
- Penal Law 190.25 – Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree – A misdemeanor
- Penal Law 170.25 – Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree – D Felony
- Penal Law 155.35 – Grand Larceny 3rd Degree – D Felony
Mr. Gracey also had two outstanding warrants; one from the City of Rye and one from Nassau County. He was held without bail awaiting arraignment.
