This robocall was sent citywide Thursday, June 17 through New Ro Alert, the City's robocall, text and email notification system.
This is the City of New Rochelle.
With vaccination rates rising and with New York State now lifting most COVID restrictions, we can look forward to a summer of recovery, renewal, and fun.
The farmers market at Paine Cottage is open for the season, every Friday from through the fall. Hudson Park Beach is now open on weekends and will open full time starting June 28. And the Glen Island testing center will close on June 25th, allowing full access to the Park during the summer. The City’s July 4th celebration is postponed, but mark your calendar for a big fireworks display on the Friday before Labor Day weekend.
Visit newrochelleny.com to stay informed about many other events that were suspended during the pandemic and are now returning.
Meanwhile, New Rochelle’s free electric shuttle is now operating across an expanded service area from Quaker Ridge to Pelham Road, into the West End and out to Palmer Avenue. You can download the Circuit app or simply hail a shuttle on the street.
And for another fun way to get around, try New Rochelle’s new e-scooter and bike share program. Download the Veo app – that’s V-E-O – to get started.
A reminder that gas-powered leaf blowers are prohibited throughout the summer. To report violations, please contact the Police Department at 654-2300.
Finally, and most importantly, COVID vaccines are widely available at health care providers and pharmacies throughout New Rochelle. The vaccine is free, and you don’t need insurance. Learn about options at vaccinefinder.org.
Enjoy the season.
