On this date, at approximately 11:46 a.m., New Rochelle Police Officers responded to a private residence on Horton Avenue on a report of a gunshot victim.
Subsequent investigation revealed that an adult male, while on the second floor of a private residence, had been shot in his forearm. He was transported to an area Hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening injury, according to Hospital Staff.
The suspect, Daniel Houghton, aged 38 of New Rochelle, fled the scene after the shooting.
The victim is the suspect’s step-father.
New Rochelle Police Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation, and at approximately 3:00 p.m. located and apprehended Houghton at 505 South Second Avenue in Mount Vernon, NY. He will be arraigned in New Rochelle City Court pending charges.
