Robocall send Citywide May 28:
If you are behind on your rent or have experienced financial hardship during the COVID pandemic, then you may qualify for New York State’s new Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Households earning up to 80% of the average income for our area are eligible, regardless of immigration status. And the benefits can be significant – up to a year of rent and utility bills.
The State will begin accepting applications on Tuesday, June 1st at 9:00am. To learn more, visit otda.ny.gov/programs/Emergency-Rental-Assistance. In addition, Westchester County is teaming up with service agencies throughout our region to help you determine your eligibility and submit an application. For assistance, call 2-1-1.
If you are an eligible renter who needs help, don’t miss out on this important financial lifeline.
Finally, an important reminder that COVID vaccines are widely available at pharmacies and health care providers throughout New Rochelle, often without an appointment. The vaccine is safe, effective, and free – and you don’t need insurance.
