New Rochelle Parks and Recreation will hold their Annual Children’s Fishing Derby event at The Twin Lakes of Huguenot Parks (in front of New Rochelle High School) on Saturday June 12th 2021 from 9am-11:30am. The free event is geared towards students in grades K-8th.
Participants must bring their own fishing rod, reel and hook. A limited supply of fishing bait will be available on-site, as well as refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest, smallest and weirdest fish.
The Children’s Fishing Derby will follow COVID safety guidelines and protocol. Pre-registration is strongly recommended in order to comply with contact-tracing, as well as ensuring there are enough bait for participants.
