In its seventh year, Big Viv’s toy drive has become a regular feature of the Holiday Season in New Rochelle. With deep roots in the community, Vivian Spady spearheads the toy drive each year to ensure that all families have a merry holiday. As Spady recently told the Journal News, "This year is more important than any other year because people are depressed and stuck in their homes. I want to make sure the kids are happy. I want to see their smiles, especially the little kids. They're not understanding why they're inside all the time. We won't let the pandemic take their holidays away." Mayor Bramson noted, "I truly admire her dedication to families and children in our city and appreciate that she's done so much to improve the holiday season for youngsters facing special challenges.” Click here to find out how you can support Big Viv’s drive through December 21. A big NewRoCheers goes out to Big Viv and her team for all of their efforts to make the holidays bright in such a challenging time.
