On Sunday, November 22, 2020, the New Rochelle Police Department investigated two strong-armed robbery incidents which occurred within hours of each other.
The first incident occurred at approximately 12:44pm at 10 Hemingway Ave. The male victim, 38 years old, reported that while exiting 10 Hemingway Ave, he was approached from behind by two individuals. These individuals punched the victim in his head causing him to fall down injuring his hip. While on the ground the suspects rifled through his pockets, however, they fled on foot in an unknown direction without taking anything from the victim. The victim described the suspects as black males, one with a dark complexion, heavy-set, wearing all red, and the other as thin, wearing a blue and black sweatshirt. The victim was conveyed to the hospital for treatment to his injuries.
The second incident occurred at 124 Remington Place, at approximately 3:56pm. A 56-year-old female victim stated that while walking on Remington Place, she was accosted by a male who told her to give her everything she had, and then proceeded to rummage through her pockets stealing her bank card. The victim described the suspect as a black male wearing all black with a black mask. The victim further stated that the suspect left the area with two other individuals. A witness to the robbery described the other individuals as black males, one with a light complexion and the other with a dark complexion, wearing red and black clothing.
