This is the City of New Rochelle with a storm recovery update.
About 3,000 homes in New Rochelle still do not have power. Con Ed is prioritizing repairs that can bring the largest number of customers back on line, with restoration occurring at a rate of about 1,000 homes a day.
To view repair estimates for specific neighborhoods, please visit the Con Ed outage map at outagemap.coned.com.
Dry ice distribution today will be at the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers until 9:00pm.
If you have lost power for more than 48 hours, you can file a claim with Con Edison for spoiled food, medication, and other perishable items. To find the claim form, visit coned.com, use the drop-down menu at “Services & Outages”, and choose “File a Claim.”
Now, to repeat prior information.
If you have lost power, we recommend that you contact Con Edison on a daily basis at 1-800-75CONED. For other storm-related matters, call the City hotline at 914-740-6118.
Storm debris should be brought to the curb, bundled and cut as small as possible.
Alternate side parking regulations and the City’s leaf blower ban remain suspended until further notice.
Always stay clear of downed power lines and please exercise caution while driving.
Additional updates will follow as warranted and will also be posted on the City website at newrochelleny.com and our social media pages.
