[ARCHIVED] July Update from the Office for the Aging

Due to concerns of health and safety, the Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center remains closed. However, our services to the most vulnerable continue. Staff can be reached by phone during business hours weekdays Monday-Friday 8:30AM to 4:30 PM by calling (914) 235-2363.

The Center will continue to provide transportation from senior buildings of Willow Towers, Maple Center and Maple Place to medical appointments. Other information services and assistance (such as recertifications) will be provided by appointment only.

This week, the Office for the Aging introduced “Senior Citizens on the Move”, 15 minute exercise programs televised on NRTV cable television, and Senior Citizen Swim classes at Lincoln Pool.

Finally, seniors are urged to be careful during the summer months. This update from the New York State Office for the Aging contains valuable tips.
