This is Mayor Noam Bramson, with an update for today, April 3.
Let’s make some noise. To honor the dedication and bravery of health care and emergency service providers, we’re joining other communities to “Clap Because We Care.” At 7:00pm this evening, please stand outside your house or open your window and applaud as loudly as you can. You can also use a whistle, blow a horn, bang a pan, whatever you like.
Even apart physically, we can stand together in spirit and express our gratitude to those on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19.
As a reminder, we continue urging all residents to limit physical contact. Stay home as much as possible, and when in public spaces like markets or parks or the street, stay at least six feet away from others. This is important for all of us, including children, so we ask parents to please monitor their kids’ conduct for everyone’s sake.
It is hard to maintain physical distancing for weeks on end, but it’s essential that we keep it up. Each of acting responsibly is how we save lives.
Thank you for listening. There’s always more information at newrochelleny.com/coronavirus. And remember to make some noise tonight at 7:00.
