New Rochelle Street Fair Moves Uptown

Each September, the New Rochelle Street Fair attracts thousands for a fun-filled day of live entertainment, crafts, food, rides, and more. This year, the fair will be held on Sunday, September 8 from 11AM to 5PM at a new location: City Hall, 515 North Avenue. The 7th annual event is presented by the City of New Rochelle Corporation for Local Development, in partnership with the Department of Parks & Recreation, New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, BID, and Volunteer New York!

Since its inception in 2013, the New Rochelle Street Fair has grown to become one of the largest street fairs in the Lower Hudson Valley. In addition to over 150 vendors- including artists, artisans and crafters, and an international assortment of food, the fair will feature a Beer Garden sponsored by AJ’s Burgers. Additional sponsors include Empire City Casino, Suez Water NY, New Rochelle Radiology, Montefiore New Rochelle, Ridgewood Savings Bank, The Rockwell and News 12 Westchester.

“This year we invite the community to come to City Hall and visit the same great fair at a new location,” said Parks & Recreation Commissioner Bill Zimmermann. “Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, this year’s fair will be bigger and better than ever!”

The City of New Rochelle Corporation for Local Development (CLD) is the Queen City Presenting Sponsor for this year’s Street Fair. “The CLD is proud to be the Street Fair’s Presenting Sponsor. We think this is a wonderful event that greatly aids in the promoting of the City and its continued economic development successes,” said City Manager Chuck Strome, CLD chair.

The fair footprint includes North Avenue from Winthrop to Fifth Avenue, and Hamilton Avenue from North to Beaufort. Parking is available in the City Hall and downtown lots. For those commuting from the downtown, the newly-launched CircuitNR electric shuttle will be in operation from noon-5PM.
