Parks and Recreation Summer 2019 Employment Opportunities Now Available

Applications are being accepted for New Rochelle Parks and Recreation summer job positions. Lifeguards, camp counselors and park managers and attendants are just some of the opportunities to be filled.

New Rochelle residency is required except for the Aquatics positions as noted. Parks and Aquatics positions may require evening and/or weekend hours.

Seasonal Employment Opportunities: 

Summer Camp Positions:

  • Recreation Specialists – Camp Counselors ($12 - $14/hr.)

  • Instructors –Nature, Music, Dance, Art, Sports, Fitness ($14 - $20/hr.)

Tennis Positions:

  • Tennis Attendants ($12 – $13/hr.)

Park Positions:

  • Park Manager ($15 - $22/hr.) – Previous managerial experience required

  • Park Attendants: D’Onofrio, Five Islands, Hudson Park, Skate Park ($12-$16/hr.)

Aquatics Positions: (No Residency Requirement)

  • Head Lifeguards: Lincoln Pool, Hudson Beach ($15-$25/hr.) –

  • ARC Lifesaving CPR, First Aid, Head Guard Module, Waterfront Module or Waterpark Module

  • Lifeguards: Lincoln Pool, Hudson Park Beach ($13 –$25/hr.)—ARC Lifesaving CPR, First Aid, Waterfront Module or Waterpark Module


  • Gas Dock Attendants ($12/hr.)

  • Pump out Boat Operator ($15/hr.)
