Interested in becoming a New Rochelle firefighter? “We’re looking for the best- take the test!” Applications are now being accepted for the Firefighter exam to be held on Saturday, May 4. Applications will be accepted until Friday, March 29 at 4PM.
Candidates must be legal residents of Westchester County for at least three continuous months immediately preceding the date of the written examination; and must be no less than 17½ years of age at the time of the written test. View the job posting.
Applications are available at the Civil Service Office, New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Avenue during regular office hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and the following locations: YMCA- Weyman Avenue Martin Luther King Center- 95 Lincoln Avenue Municipal Housing Authority- 50 Sickles Avenue New Rochelle Public Library- 1 Library Plaza Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle- Remington and A.E. Mascaro (7th Street)
Application must be done in person at the Civil Service Office at City Hall with proper photo ID and documentation. The Civil Service Office in City Hall will remain open until 8PM on Tuesday, February 26 to accept applications.
