On Jan. 17, 2019, New Rochelle welcomed Phenix Salon Suites at 77 Quaker Ridge Road. This is the newest of over 240 Phenix locations, the first Phenix in Westchester and the first “salon suite” type business in New Rochelle. The underlying concept of a salon suite is a coworking-style business model for beauty services. Its franchisees lease large retail spaces, then subdivide them into individual salon shops. Individual stylists become entrepreneurs with a relatively low cost of entry. Customers benefit from a variety of services and stylists. Phenix on Quaker Ridge Road offers 29 salon suites and is booking fast.
