The New Rochelle Youth Bureau, in partnership with the Dumont Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Care and Alpha Medical Equipment, hosted their first annual backpack & school supply two-day event giveaway for middle and high school students at City Hall.
Youth Bureau staff and reps from both organizations helped distribute 250 backpacks - filled with essential school supplies - to students.
“We want to provide students with the tools they need in order to have a successful school year,” said Executive Director Kelly Johnson. “We are extremely grateful for the generous contributions from our sponsors.”
Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care donated backpacks, water bottles, notepads and pens to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Alpha Medical Equipment provided bookbags, notebooks, folders, pens and highlighters to high school students.
