The New Rochelle Police Department will participate in NYS Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC) Speed Awareness Week (August 2-8), a week-long enforcement initiative to crack down on speeding drivers and speed-related crashes. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 3 out of every 10 drivers speed.
“Speeding is not only against the law, but dangerous and deadly. Proactive law enforcement is a primary deterrent,” says Traffic Unit Supervisor Detective Sergeant, Myron Joseph.
