Earlier this year, internationally acclaimed chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson went undercover for the hit CBS show “Undercover Boss” to find and mentor a number of talented, aspiring chefs in the New York area. Part of the episode was secretly filmed at Monroe! Chef Samuelsson’s adventure ultimately led him (disguised, of course) to our Culinary Arts Center in New Rochelle one Saturday morning last winter. A person he wanted to help -- a former student of ours -- was there to cook in our CINY kitchens for a (fake) reality show she thought she was on. If you know the show, you know the drill. Another person he sought to find and reward was an individual with great culinary talent and potential -- but no formal training -- so that he could grant a scholarship to attend our Culinary Institute of New York. We look forward to welcoming the deserving recipient to campus this Fall! You can watch the teaser for the episode here and the full episode tomorrow night: Friday, May 19th 8:00 pm CBS / Channel 2 Photo caption: Here’s Chef Samuelsson before and after the show’s make-up team did its magic
