[ARCHIVED] New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce Honors those Sculpting the Skyline

New Rochelle, NY: On Thursday March 23, 2017 the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce hosted  the annual Dinner Dance, at Beckwith Pointe in New Rochelle.  There were several members of the New Rochelle and Westchester Community at large nominated and honored for their contributions to the development of New Rochelle. Among the honorees of the night was Luiz Aragon who presented on the development plans.  TheSkyline Sponsors of the event included New Rochelle Chamber Members, Cuddy & Feder LLP., PS & S Architecture & Engineering, The Radisson Hotel, Brock Development Corporation, and Noma Social. 

All of the honorees are instrumental to the re-sculpting of the future New Rochelle skyline, working on monumental development projects throughout the City. Those honored included Seth Penske and Sean McLean of the combined RDRXR, who already had a ground-breaking ceremony back in October. The other awards were all given to the “Captains of Construction” for the individual buildings that are in the rendering phase at this point. Each builder came with poster board of their building rendering for all attendees to view. Honorees including Frank and Ciro Chechile of CAC realty group who are developing The Huguenot; a 60 unit multifamily building at 387 Huguenot St., which should be completed by 2018.Mark, Robert, and William Fonte of TriFont Realty, who developed The Anderson Apartments completed in 2016, Anup Misra and Stanley Conway of East & Hudson real estate, Megalith Capital Management, Ralph Rossi of RMA Development who built the Lombardi,  Nick Williams, of St. Katherine LLP,  Anthony and William Hammel of ELD properties who are building the Hammel and the Millennia, and Lou Iacopetta of the Quintessential Land Development who is building the Craft building which will be the first significant rental building available to that market area in over 100 years.

In addition, several local officials including Mayor Noam Bramson of New Rochelle, Jim Maisano, Westchester County Legislator, George Latimer, State Senator, Amy Paulin, State Assemblywoman and Steve Otis, State Assemblyman, Chuck Strome, New Rochelle City Manager, Albert Tarantino and  Ivar Hyden, City Councilmen. Among the attendees were New Rochelle’s many respected business owners, the honorees and their families. 

“To see this many visionaries in one room, possibly meeting for the first time is exactly what the Chamber wanted to achieve!  Having them all in one room with one common goal – the advancement of New Rochelle” said Rob Hayes the Vice President of the Chamber. The Dinner Dance served as an opportunity for many local business owners and officials to mingle and celebrate the many successes accomplished in our recent history and the many they look forward to in the foreseeable future. 

Nearly 200 guests attended the event which comprised of networking, a dinner on the Long Island Sound and closed out the night with a bit of dancing. The Executive Director of the Chamber, Mr. Bob Marrone served as the emcee for the evening. This particular event may be considered as very memorable because it was one of the last major events to be hosted by Beckwith Pointe before it’s closing for development.
