This is an important weather alert from City of New Rochelle. A strong coastal storm will impact our area with high winds, heavy rain, and localized flooding this afternoon through tomorrow morning, with the potential for downed trees and power outages.
All residents should safeguard their property, especially lightweight items outdoors. And if you have an active building permit, please secure your building materials.
Residents in the South End should hold off putting garbage curbside until Tuesday morning.
During the height of the storm this evening, please avoid any non-essential travel.
Always stay clear of downed power lines. Please report downed trees to the New Rochelle Police Department at (914) 654-2300 and report any power outages directly to Con Edison at 1-800-75-CONED or on their website www.coned.com
