[ARCHIVED] NRPD investigates homicide

On December 29th at approximately 6:37 PM Units from the New Rochelle Police Department responded to multiple calls of a disturbance at 138 Winthrop Ave. Arriving Units located a male with a serious stab wound to his chest in front of 138 Winthrop Ave. The male was transported by ambulance to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx where he subsequently died from the wound at approximately 1:00 AM this date. His name will not be released pending notification of his next of kin. New Rochelle Police Units also located a female party in the vicinity believed to be a participant in this incident. Her name will not be released since she has not been charged with any crime thus far. There are no suspects at large, the participants were known to each other.

 This Incident is being actively investigated as a Homicide by the New Rochelle Police Detective Division, The NYC Medical Examiner’s Office and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Anyone with Information is requested to Contact the New Rochelle Police Department Tel # 914-654-2270.
