The New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the honorees for the 14th Annual Woman of Excellence Dinner, to be held on September 29th 2016, at Beckwith Pointe in New Rochelle.

Iona Political Science Professor, Jeanne Zaino, a published presidential historian, TV pundit and newspaper columnist and Iona professor heads an impressive list.
Cindy Gallagher, the long-time Vice-Chairperson of Westchester’s best know radio stations, WVOX and WVIP, has flown under the radar long enough. For over 30 years, she has been the lynchpin of the stations and Chief Operating Officer under the iconic Bill O’Shaughnessy, who owns the country’s best known and most successful community stations.

Catherine Francese, the Director of Religious Instruction at Holy Name of Jesus Church, in New Rochelle, has touched countless lives though her work. Her spirit, warmth and humanity inform her work and character and lead our youth on a path of spirituality.

News Anchor and Journalist, Tara Rosenblum, has been a fixture on local television for several years. Her confident and knowledgeable delivery; born of her experience covering news around the world, have earned her over 100 awards, 66 Emmy nominations, including 16 Emmys. Moreover, Tara has used her position to reach out to the community and help others.

The Annual Dinner always includes presentation of a scholarship to a Young Woman Leader of Tomorrow sponsored by the Zaukas Family in honor of Muriel Zaukas, a woman who was very active in the New Rochelle Community until her passing in 2008.

This year’s event will also include a special tribute to former honorees. Bob Marrone, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce states, “Over these 14 years The New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce has awarded quite an elite club with their selection as a Woman of Excellence. This year we hope to recognize all of these special women in a unique way. ”
