The Office for Aging administers the Senior Citizen Nutrition Program at the Doyle Center to meet the nutritional needs of the elderly. This program provides a hot meal at lunchtime and a cold bagged meal to take home for dinner to seniors and their spouses at a nominal fee. Besides the benefits of good nutrition, this program enables older people to enjoy the socialization and companionship of their peers.
- The suggested contribution amount is $2.00
- Contributions are voluntary
- If you are unable to meet the suggested amount, we ask that you contribute whatever amount you feel you can afford
- Contributions are made anonymously
- No one is denied lunch or meal due to inability or unwillingness to contribute
- All contributions are required to go directly back into the nutrition program and are used to help pay for the cost of the meal as well as other meal program expenses
- Funded through The City of New Rochelle, Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services, New York State Office For The Aging and the U.S. Administration on Aging.
