Metered Parking

On-Street Meters

On-Street parking meters throughout the City have a maximum time limit of 2 hours with a rate of $0.25 for each 15 minutes. In the evening, a 3 hour limit is in effect in the downtown from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. (please refer to posted signage). Parking beyond the time limit by continual feeding of the meter is illegal. Longer-term meters are located in off-street lots and garages.

Amtrak Parking
For those taking Amtrak from the New Rochelle Train Station, we recommend parking on the 5th level of the New Rochelle Transit Center. Parking is allowed for up to 120 straight hours (5 days).

Meters, with few exceptions, (please refer to posted signage) are enforced Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 6 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. in select areas, except the following holidays:

    Multi-Space Meters

In specified municipal structures, parking patrons use centrally located multi-space meters (similar to bank automated teller machines). These meters accept coins, bills, MasterCard, VISA, and Discover, and issue receipts. Machines do not issue change or refunds.  Parking patrons may purchase additional time as needed without returning to their space. Posted maximum time limits still apply.
