The Assessment Review Board reviews complaints filed during the formal grievance process by residents pertaining to assessment of their home. The purpose of the Board is to arrive at fair and impartial decisions regarding assessments of property in New Rochelle.
As of 6/1/2020, The board members are:
Members are appointed by the City Council and do not include the Assessor or staff from the Assessor's Office. The Board consists of residents who have at least a general knowledge of property values in the community.
Filing a Grievance
Assessment complaint applications are available in the Assessor's Office, located at 515 North Avenue, June 1 to the 3rd Tuesday of June each year. Appointments to appear before the Board of Assessment Review are scheduled as completed forms are returned to the Assessor's Office.
