The City of New Rochelle is seeking entries for a juried Art Competition to create an illustration that will be printed on vinyl and affixed to the blue wall panels located on the western side of the North Avenue Bridge crossing the Metro North Railroad tracks. Illustration shall center around the idea that this location is a Downtown Gateway from and to the New Rochelle Train Station, depicting the City’s vibrant art scene and also serving as a way finding element/feature.

The winning artwork will serve as both an orienting landmark and a celebration of New Rochelle’s downtown revitalization. The artwork may be abstract or pictorial depending upon the artist’s style but should include an element indicating the artwork’s proximity to the train station. 

In addition to having their artwork displayed, the winner or winning team will receive a $3,000 prize. Application deadline is September 28, 2022.
