NEW RO ALERT February 12, 2024:
Accumulating snow and gusty winds are predicted for Tuesday, February 13. Before the storm, please park cars off-street to make room for plows. Free parking is available at New Roc City from 7PM Monday through 7PM Tuesday. South End trash collection on Tuesday will begin an hour earlier at 6PM, so please place materials curbside tonight. Public Works crews will begin salting this evening and plowing as snow accumulates. Report power outages to ConEd. For additional information visit

-Help plows by parking off street where possible.
-Exercise caution while traveling as roadways may be slippery
-Clear sidewalks and fire hydrants adjacent to your property 
-Don't throw snow into the street when shoveling around cars
-Place garbage curbside for pickup, not in the street
-If you lose power, contact ConEd directly at 1-800-75- CONED

Many FIOS network issues are due to lack of commercial power. As power is restored, Verizon teams are in the field getting a more accurate assessment of the damage and making necessary repairs. Residents are advised to report service issues to 1-800- VERIZON (800-922-0204).
If you are experiencing a service issue, there are four channels for reporting. Contacting Optimum via any of these channels will result in a trouble ticket being created that will direct a repair team to assess and address the issue:
