Welcome to the City of New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation web page. The Department of Parks and Recreation is located on the ground floor of City Hall at 515 North Avenue. Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is comprised of four distinct bureaus (Parks, Recreation, Office for the Aging and the Municipal Marina). For more information on our bureaus, please click on the links to access each page.

 

OMNICARD (The 2009 Omnicard is valid January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009)
The Omnicard is your photo identification card for use at Hudson Park, Five Islands Park, Davenport Park, Cameron Dock, Sharkey Park and Neptune Park. In order to park your vehicle at any of these locations, a decal must be affixed to the rear window on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Note: you must show your Omnicard upon entrance into the Hudson Park Beach from Memorial Day through Labor Day.


Omnicard Requirements:

Proof of residency is required (driver’s license, utility bill, tax and/or rent receipt).

  • You must present your vehicle registration to obtain a parking decal.
  • Only one additional decal may be purchased for a second vehicle registered

in the cardholder’s name at a $5.00 fee.

A total of 4 guests per card at $5.00 per guest. You MUST have an Omnicard to bring in guests.

Disabled Parking Permits

The Department of Parks and Recreation issues temporary and permanent New York State disabled parking permits for New Rochelle Residents only. If you are a non-resident, please contact your local police department for more information on obtaining a permit.

If you are a New Rochelle resident seeking to obtain a New York State disabled parking permit, your doctor must complete a medical certification before a permit can be issued. We will need a copy of your NYS Drivers License, non-Drivers ID card, or a written statement certifying that you do not have a NYS issued id card.

Applications for disabled parking permits can be obtained at the Parks and Recreation office or on line at the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles website at www.nysdmv.com
