Jeffrey C. Coleman, PE was appointed Commissioner of Public Works in June of 2005 after serving as Deputy Commissioner of Public Works and the Manager of Traffic Engineering for the City of New Rochelle since April of 2001. Prior to his career in municipal government Mr. Coleman held various positions working for a local engineering consulting firm specializing in providing engineering services to both public and private sector clients.
Mr. Coleman has a BS in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and is presently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration at Pace University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer, certified to practice engineering in several states and is also a Certified Traffic Operations Engineer.
Mr. Coleman is an active member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Westchester County Association of Municipal Public Works Administrators, and the American Public Works Association. He currently sits on the Westchester County Traffic Safety Board.
