Egg-Stravaganza
This takes place at Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center. This event is for all children pre-school through second grade only. Registration through the Youth Bureau or the Department of Parks and Recreation is required.

BID Family Saturdays
Held every Saturday (October through June) at the New Rochelle Public Library

The Stride 5K – Run-Walk
This 5K Run-Walk takes place throughout downtown New Rochelle. Sponsored by Sound Shore Medical Center.

Shakespeare In The Park
An annual collaboration produced by the NR Council On The Arts along with the Garden Club of New Rochelle which transforms Davenport Park into theater.
 

Senior Citizen Prom
The Youth Council of the New Rochelle Youth Bureau in conjunction with the Office for the Aging, and New Rochelle Parks and Recreation sponsors an annual Senior Citizen Prom. The evening includes live music, the coronation of the King and Queen of the prom, followed by a delicious meal.

New Rochelle Memorial Day Parade
Join the City of New Rochelle and the United States Veterans Memorial and Patriotic Association as "We Remember" those whose sacrificed to allow the freedoms we enjoy today.

BID Sidewalk Sales
Perfect for stocking up on spring/summer fashions or back to school supplies.  Also guarantees great buys and special merchandise for bargain hunters.  Look for colorful balloons and tabletop displays that will be lining downtown Main Street, North Avenue and several side streets in between.  Hours will depend on the participating merchants normal hours of operation.



Summer

Webster Bank: Summer Sounds Concert Series
Concerts are every Wednesday (weather permitting) starting at 7:30 pm. during the months of July and August at Hudson Park Band Shell.  Bring your own blanket or chair and enjoy the live music. This year's concerts will incorporate Sixties Rock, Latin, Big Band, Opera, Top Chart Hits from every era, and Jazz.

Children’s Fishing Derby 
A recreational fishing derby at the Twin Lakes, Huguenot Park, for students in grades 1-8.  All participants must bring their own rod, reel, and hook.  Admission is free. 

Sunday in the Park: Salute to Broadway
Join us for an afternoon on the lawn at Hudson Park with strolling musicians, Plein Aire artists and music reflecting 20 years of Broadway sponsored by the NR Council On The Arts.

July 4th  Spark the Sound Extravaganza
A great way to celebrate the 4th and support our Nation’s independence! Fireworks begin at 9:30 pm

BID Music on the Green
This event is held on Library Green Ozzie Davis Park on Thursdays in July (weather permitting).

Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
Lighted boats will parade along The Queen City of the Sound’s shoreline with public viewing areas in Hudson Park and Neptune Park. Contact the Marina for more information or to sign up.

Fall

KIDS Snapper Fishing Derby
Open to kids from ages 6 to 16.  Bring your own fishing gear to the wall at Hudson Park. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Register at the Marina.

Paine to Pain
Join us for the annual half-marathon. Race starts with a gunshot from a colonial musket at the Thomas Paine Cottage.

Halloween Bash
The Youth Council of the New Rochelle Youth Bureau in conjunction with the Office for the Aging and New Rochelle Parks and Recreation sponsors a special Halloween activity for youth ages two to six

Frederick J. Todora Golf Tournament
The Department of Parks and Recreation hosts an annual Golf Tournament at the Wykagyl Country Club.

BID Urchins Merchants March & Pumpkin Painting
Ragamuffins through third grade, will march in costume in downtown New Rochelle led by our friends at Parks and Recreation!

BID Downtown Window Painting
Join the neighbors and friends painting store windows with scary Halloween ghosts and goblins and Happy Thanksgiving greetings. 

Thanksgiving Parade
Annual community event presented by the Chamber of Commerce, showcasing local organizations, floats and bands through our downtown! 

Winter

Give a Gift Holiday Program
This event provides holiday cheer and gifts for New Rochelle families in need. These gifts are donated by local residents. Contact the Youth Bureau for further information.
