Howard Rattner, a native of Queens,
N.Y., was appointed Finance Commissioner of the
City of New Rochelle in August 1993. Mr. Rattner
has held several managerial positions in both
the public and private sectors. For the City of
Beverly Hills, California, Mr. Rattner served
as Director of Economic Development and Deputy
Director of Finance and Administration. He has
also served as Chief Financial Officer for the
Long Beach (California) Water Department and as
Administrative Analyst for a major audit and accounting
firm.
Mr. Rattner received his undergraduate
degree from State University of New York at Binghamton
and his Masters in Business Administration from
UCLA. He is well versed in municipal finance,
has been a guest speaker at several professional
organization conferences and has been a substitute
lecturer in accounting and business at California
State University at Long Beach.
Mr. Rattner and his family currently
reside in New Rochelle, N.Y.
