MISSION

The primary mission of the Bureau of Buildings is to enforce state and local codes relating to properties and buildings to result in the protection of life and property and in the enhancement of the quality of life of all persons living, working or visiting the city of new rochelle. The bureau assists in zoning, planning, land use and environmental matters and serves as staff to the Zoning, Planning, Sign Appeal Review, and Standards and Appeals Boards.

· CVS Pharmacy on Main & Huguenot Street
· AutoZone auto parts store
· Kensington Woods adult-luxury homes
· Emerson Point luxury homes
· Pinebrook Estate homes
· Riviera Shores luxury homes
· Demolition permits for West End 2000 affordable homes and assisted living facility
· Former CVS building to become a Mormon church
· Numerous office, commercial and residential interior projects

2004 Objectives
· Close out open building permits
· Remodel Bureau space
· Maintain high level of service delivery with reduced staff
